ezRez Software, Inc. Achieves PCI DSS Validation
Service Provider Level 1 Validation Enhances Protection of Sensitive Data for ezRez Clients and Their Customers
SAN FRANCISCO – December 3, 2009 – ezRez Software, Inc., provider of web-based travel and loyalty software solutions, announced today that it has been validated as compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) requirements for Level 1 service providers. Administered by the PCI Security Standards Council, the PCI DSS is a multifaceted security standard that includes requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures. ezRez is the only software-as-a-service (SaaS) company within the travel and loyalty sectors to achieve PCI DSS Level 1 validation.
“We enhance value to clients by offering their customers easy access to online travel products and reward redemption options,” said Tina Fitch, ezRez CEO. “ezRez’s adherence to PCI DSS requirements assures clients that any sensitive data we process will be subject to the same safeguards as if they were handling it themselves.”
Through its software-as-a-service model, ezRez seamlessly links its customers around the world, including major airlines and hospitality companies, travel agencies, loyalty programs and financial institutions, to a network of thousands of travel suppliers as well as innovative reward redemption solutions. By adhering to the stringent technical and operational requirements created by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, ezRez is protecting the sensitive data used by its customers’ clients to purchase or redeem loyalty rewards for travel products through the ezRez platform. At the same time, ezRez is enabling its partners, such as American Airlines, American Express, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Starwood Hotels & Resorts and United Airlines, to reduce their cost of operating within PCI DSS requirements.
The PCI Security Standards Council was founded by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa International to address the growing issue of cardholder account security. ezRez is dedicated to providing a secure transaction environment for its clients and will continue to actively analyze and enhance security procedures in line with the standards set forth by the PCI Security Standards Council.
