What's in store for you

You will be part of a fun, fast-paced and highly collaborative engineering team leveraging agile methodologies to deliver new functionality in incremental iterations. You will develop efficient, well-structure web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, FreeMarker templates and ColdFusion. You will play an active role in implementing product initiatives and shaping our travel platform.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of front-end web development in a production shop, creating world-class user interfaces
  • In-depth knowledge of CSS, including web standards and browser compatibility
  • Knowledge of the Document Object Model and cross-browser compatibility issues
  • Experience with a major JavaScript library (Prototype, YUI, JQuery, et cetera)
  • Experience with DHTML and all things AJAX
  • In-depth familiarity with Unobtrusive JavaScript
  • Detailed experience with a scripting language like PHP, Ruby or ColdFusion
  • Excellent verbal communication and documentation skills
  • Be a team player

Nice to Have

  • Computer science background and knowledge of an object-oriented programming language
  • Java or Ruby experience including API usage and familiarity with fundamental classes and concepts
  • Experience developing with the Model-View-Controller pattern
  • Familiarity with the travel industry is a plus
  • Familiarity with a high-transaction ecommerce web-site
  • Experience with a hosted, multi-tenant application environment
  • Graphic editing skills with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop etc) and other industry-standard tools
  • We are global, so a familiarity with internationalization and configurable displays is a plus
  • Familiarity with the Agile development process
